CRE has registered for the Gr. 4 and Gr. 5 Canadian National Mathematics League contests for 2012.  We did the practice tests in-class and I have attached them here along with the solutions.

Province Resource Travel BrochureUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
We started our province resource travel brochure project last week and have worked on it during class time.  Students chose a Canadian province and need to research information (from our Canadian provinces resource books or the internet) and create an attractive travel brochure.  The criteria and rough copy of the brochure is in each student's green Social Studies duotang.  I have attached the travel brochure template from Microsoft Word that will be students' final copy to be submitted.

Students keep track of their bi-monthly paycheck and expenses (i.e. mortgage payments on their home and vehicle, credit card bills, cash withdrawls, utilities bills) through their Ngsville bank statment in their yellow Health and Career duotang.
 
I have also attached a template of the Ngsville business proposal for students to download and a sample for the shop, Ngsville Pets.

A notice was sent home in December describing the novel study bingo project.  A notice further outlining the project was sent home on Tuesday, January 3rd.  I have attached both the notices.  The project is due Friday, February 10th!
