Re-tests are not commom in grade 8 therefore they will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

 

Here are my general policies around re-tests:

  • for students that are struggling with demonstarting understanding of the work.
  • Student must recieve an "incomplete mark" (less than 50%)
  • They are not given to students trying to boost their mark or who have chosen not to complete work/study
  • In order to receive a re-test the student must demonstrate that they have made every attempt to succeed (showing me completed homework, study notes, asking for extra help)
  • The student must attend a tutorial and choose to do the re-test
  • retest are taken on I-day

Dear Parents,

 

I am inviting you to contact me via email if at any time you have questions about your child’s progress in my class. At this time, teachers will not be giving official report cards, but I want you to know that anytime you would like to contact me about a concern you have regarding your child, or if you are simply curious about his/her progress, I will be glad to get back to you as soon as possible.

 

You can track the assignments I give on a daily basis by visiting my webpage at http://teachers.sd43.bc.ca/JDudley/default.aspx. In addition, each student has an "achievement log" which contains information pertaining to the scores they have received on tests/quizzes/projects. Please sign and return these as soon as possible.

This information is only for Science and Math for these are the classes I teach. If you need information regarding English or Social Studies please contact Mr. Rene Fouquette at RFouquette@sd43.bc.ca.
