Students will read Chapter 5 city of Ember.1.They will jot down the main events that happened in web form and number the events in the order they happened.2. They will write down the events in the proper sequence in a Paragraph summary.3. They will write 2-3 sentences stating the main idea of the paragraph. If students are having difficulty reading the chapter, parents can read the chapter to them and the student can retell the events and write them in a web.See their LA notebooks for the marking criteria.The big idea behind this homework is for students to get practice in retelling events in their own words and being able to state the main idea of what they are reading.
